No primitive firing is not the same as raku (although you do place pots in a
fire for both)...you do Primitive Firing without glazing. Pots come out with
fire marks on them which are permanent so long as you do not fire them again.
Therefore primitive fire pots are bisque only, and will not hold water, food,
etc...
Depending on what you burn, (dead fish, seaweed, fabric, newsprint, straw,
etc...) you can get some interesting effects.
