The use of art history should be to have the student see the correlation
between the assignment and the history behind the the media or technique
involved. Art history for a young person should be brief and too the point so
as to create an awareness of the significance that the history has to the
point of the assignment. More Art history and less hands on art work will
make a successful lesson into a boring one and the student will not learn the
true meaning of the art assignment.
Let's use art history as a cto our tewaching and not the heart unless art
history is the name of the course and this is the prime objective.
