On the scenery design, I would think a little about using tempera. The
mis-mixed acrylic paints at paint and lumber stores are cheap. We purchase
them for about two dollars a gallon. If you can get flat, it won't shine in
the spot lights. The tempera won't let you paint over it the next time around,
has a tendancy to really flake off in large areas. But, maybe it's ok if you
never plan to paint the sets again.
