getting dumped on

In the last 3 days, the teen living teacher and I have had new students
placed in our classes. These are students on a 4 x 4 block system who have
entered a school on an a/b day block schedule where kids take 7 periods.
They have placed these kids in our biggest entry level classes-not one, but
two! The second class we have been told to list as "teacher assistant" and
to use that time to teach these kids everything they missed first semester.
Everyone is passing the buck on who told them to do this, but I aim to see
the principal tomorrow to discuss my feelings. It is indicative to me of the
attitude that I don't do much, but I also feel like I am being asked to be
unethical in the doctoring of records. Furthermore, the kids are being set
up to fail, because there is no way to teach them what they missed and still
maintain classroom control and my sanity. Need advice-what do you think?
Does this happen to you? Linda in NC
