The book about Matisse I mentioned is called, "Matisse on Art". It's by Jack Flam, and includes Matisse's writings, interviews, artist statements, etc. Two other books I found fascinating reading are "Daybook: The Journal of an Artist" and "Turn: The Journal of an Artist", both written by Anne Truitt, a contemporary sculptor. These last two give a keen insight into the mind and process of an artist.

I, too, would be interested in seeing the whole list of titles you've received. Ben Shahn's "Shape of Content" and Rober Henri's books are also on my list.
