Some people have already mentioned quite a few good books but I would like
to add; Shape of a content by Ben Shahn. I donīt know though if you were
looking for books that were stories or theory. Because there are many good
theory books like the ones by Paul Klee and Vassily Kandinsky. I also have
two good books I got at the MOMA many many years ago and feature writings
on Surrealism by Surrealists and about Modern Art by Modern Artist.
This is all I can think of for now.
