Thanks for your concern, but I'm not running away from problems, but facing a
present reality. My 11 year old son has always been in private special
schools for adhd kids, he was tested again last year by the public school
system, but came out as a 'border case', and doesn't qualify for special
assistance from public school system. The private adhd schools focusetoo much
on the "weaknesses" of these kids, but don't emphasize their qualities. Adhd
children are just different, and are a "problem" within the present context of
mainstream schools, but if they were given the adequate environment, these
kids would flourish in unforseen ways. That is why I'm looking for a new
school for my son. I'm researching thoroughly, and won't make a move unless
I'm sure it's for the better. If you know of any school that honors adhd
qualities, I sure would love to hear about them ! Thanks !
