A couple of years ago the NAEA conference was in New ORleans and
we had the cocktail party in a Mardi Gras warehouse--it was sooo
cool. I was surprised to find that most he the floats were made
of layers of styrofoam that was carved and filed into faces, hands
etc. and then covered with a layer of newspaper and flour and water
type of paper mache--no cooking or anything. Great details but
the mache level seemed to be just the shell. Sid
