Actually.....I have a color blind student who has learned how to paint
'intellectually', but talking it out...i.e. when he paints trees, he
makes warm greens and cool greens, (depending on a variety of reasons,
light source, advancing or receding etc..) formulaically (if that's a
word), adding warm colors or cool colors to the greens, and then asks
his table of artist-peers to critique the color before he paints it.
They all learn, he paints, I sit back and smile.
