Re:Transferring Images

To John Chadek.
I use this method to transfer images from magazines. I select
photographs or illustrations that are colored and place them face down
on white paper. The backs of the photographs are scrubbed with a tooth
brush which has been soaked in a solvent of paint thinner, until the
images transfer to the drawing paper. These images and fragments are
fused with drawings by my students to make a unified composition.
Yes, try paint thinner, like I do. It works, is not messy and doesn't
smell too bad.
