Ok, getting light-hearted, here,
With schools resuming right around the corner, might I suggest one
last activity for those looking for a good laugh....go see the movie "the
Faculty". Altho no one will ever claim it even approaches high art, for
those of us especially who teach High School, there's MUCH to laugh at. It
is geared to a HS audience, but there are many elements which ring true. My
good buddy (our chorus teacher) and I took it in Tuesday night.....we
laughed through nearly the whole thing, collecting phrases to use
Monday...and much to the chagrin of the young couple in front of us. I
believe we were the only adults in the place. Puts a whole new light on all
that bottled water we drink! But, again, it's not high art, so pay the
matinee price.
Enjoy the time that's left and here's to a (re)fresh(ed) 1999!
Greenfield Wisc...where the snows blowin and driftin!
