Robin, We had a new school built 3 years ago. I gave the architects the
kiln model number and description (Skutt). I had been advised to get a
kiln that you can program to fire...so you don't have to be there while
firing. Oddly enough, I received the cheaper model. On investigating, I
was told I can retrofit this feature for about $500! (Out of the art
materials budget) I really think it's a nice feature to have...go for it
