Teaching Art in Secondary Schools

Hello all,

I am new to this list and have a few questions for any art teachers out there.
I received an M.A. in art history not long ago. Initially I wanted to teach
college students, but after working (as a volunteer) with younger students I
decided I wanted to teach art appreciation/visual arts to secondary school
students. I am planning on getting my credential - however, I just wanted to
hear some feedback from teachers who are already doing this. Is it extremely
difficult to find a job teaching art? Any comments would be appreciated!
