The most I spend on drawing projects with elementary students is 2
classes, sometimes three, as they get bored with doing the SAME project
if it takes too long. I also have classes for 45 min., which isn't long
enough. In my opinion, classes should be for an hour for each grade
level for once a week, so the students can complete a project instead of
draging it out for two or three classes.
I don't use very large paper for drawing, 12"x18" is the largest. I
agree with Gary that the smaller, more immediate projects should be
presented to third grade and below. I also gear my projects so they can
be completed in one, or two clases. The children's attention span is
very short.
