Okay .... but the principal has to go with the new schedule FIRST (he says
flippantly) ..... every 35 minutes throughout the day he/she has to
completely adandon what he/she is doing, clear the desk and start working on
another project ........ The principal should be thinking along the lines of,
"If this was a business and these were my employees, would this new schedule
increase their productivity?"

information on the benefits of having 5 art classes scheduled for 50
minutes per day (the present schedule) vs. having 6 classes scheduled for
40 minutes per day. Her principal wants to go to block scheduling which
would mean less time per week for art students. Her meeting is Monday
morning. She needs ammunition and other's thoughts and experiences on the
