A good addition to a picture frame besides a slot for the photo is a
personal poem carved into it.

We have some great ideas. A bent slab on edge is nice and stands up. Easy
to fire too.

I like to use the box form made from 6 pieces with picture frame cuts to
fits them together.
Then we cut i t open so that you have a container. The opening is done
with a sharp blade.

I have used the hidden storage idea too.

Bird houses were great. They did not have to be a box at all. We had
round ones and all different shapes.
My favorite was a Mission style one with a roof garden.

Take two slabs and make a shallow plate shape with a pie pan. They should
not be pressed hard into the corners. When they are leatherhard, put them
together with slurry. Then paddle one end so that the disk shape stands up
and make a vase. Then you must cut out an opening in one of them to place
dry flowers into it. Decorate with your favorite technique. This is an
advanced project.

Make a structure out of 6 to 10 pinch pots. How creative can they be?
These could be wild.
