<< What are the advantage of having fine arts magnet schools? Do the
students, not attending a magnet school, suffer any consequences? >>
It seems to me that your description of the situation answers your
association's questions. Public schools, an institution based on American
ideals of democracy, become undemocratic, even anti-democratic, when there is
wide gaps in funding and opportunities for students.
Who gets to go to the fine arts magent school?
Do other schools have other programs that parents and students can select,
and are they funded to the same extent?
