I teach a geodesic mobile lesson to my 6th graders that uses lots of
yarn. After trying many bad solutions to the distribution problem, I put
a couple of skiens in tall, round baby wipes containesr. The yarn feeds
out the top slot beautifully! The largest supermarket in town sells "Wash
A Bye Baby ones in a 120 size that just holds a reg. skein of yarn. So, I
asked all my students with baby siblings to go home & see if Mom buys
that kind. Before I knew it, I had so many that I also started using them
for water containers, since they are really hard to tip over. All it
takes is a few regular donors with newborns!
Good luck!
