When my kids weave, I keep the warp yarn in a coffee can with
a hole in the lid for string to come out. Each person does
their warp in turn. This way, you don't ever have that one
piece that doesn't quite make it around or a bunch of little
pieces that got cut off of the end. As for the weft, I keep the
yarn bolts in a box, standing upright with the little string in
the middle coming out. Students can get whatever they want.
They know to leave some of the string hanging out so that the
next person can easily grab it. I keep lots of different
colors & textures on hand for lots of great effects.
