Hi Ken,
Let's play Devil's Advocate of the ADMINISTRATION......
Isn't what's really important what the student acutally learns
MORE SO THAN whether or not the art department acts as an advertising
agent for the school! Aren't you really saying that performing arts are
better because they make the school look better and the administration
look better? The projects the teacher is doing in the room may be just
as educationally sound to that student who has NOT already been there
and done that before!
As you know, I like putting my kids work out there, since you
have some of my students' work on your website, but I'm not sure that
how much of it is out there is the yardstick by which should we should
measure a program's needs.
Be cautious about being an administrator.
I always enjoy reading what you have to say, even if I don't
entirely agree.
