An excellent source for contemporary mainstream women artists is MAKING
THEIR MARK: WOMEN ARTISTS MOVE INTO THE MAINSTREAM compiled by Randy Rosen
& Catherine Brawer (New York: Abbeville, 1988) It has many color photos,
good essays that speak to the work of specific artists, and artist bios in
the back (as I remember). Many of the artists you mentionned in your query
are in this book. Other good sources on contemporary artists include
CONTEMPORARY AMERICAN WOMEN ARTISTS that covers 24 artists and includes
statements by them and bio sketches. It too has lots of color repros.

Good luck on your work.
