Harvard University's Project Zero (Howard Gardner) has a subset called Project MUSE -
Museums Uniting with Schools in Education. they recently published
the MUSE BOOK, an excellent guide based on their research on learning
in Museums. There are inquiry-based tracts, etc. (The Generic Game,
the Entry Point System, and QUEST.

I highly recommend this book for art teachers wanting to work with
inquiry-based methods and/or plan museum field trips. BTW, we use it
extensively here!

It can be ordered from
