I refer to all my students as "artists". I expose them to true artists
methods- such as gessoing before painting with acrylics- whenever possible.
I try to only exhibit their works in adult-like fashion but have also
resorted to cloths pin/colored matts on ocassion and when necessary.

Not being able to afford frames, I am working with a popular sandwich shop
near our school to have them buy oak frames for their new dining room and
have us continually show our artist's latest works in them. The owners hope
for good press and word of mouth advertising and we get a avenue to put the
work in front of the public in an exciting, adult like fashion.

The more children experience the "real world" of artists the more enthusiasm
and interest they will show toward other artists' works, art history, art
museums, etc.
