In response to Paula's query about art movements from the 60s...
I think the Fluxus Movement would be interesting to introduce
students to--and a correlation could be drawn between Fluxus and
Dada, if the students happen to be studying anything about WW I or
the Vietnam War.

Some of the artists of the Fluxus Movement were Ben Vautier, Alison
Knowles, Yoko Ono, John Cage, Merce Cunningham, George Maciunas, Nam
June Paik, George Watts, Dick Higgins.... the list goes on & on.

_In the Spirit of Fluxus_ was organized for the Walker Art Center by
Elizabeth Armstrong and Joan Rothfuss. It's a good publication that
gives a comprehensive look at the artists and their art.

The Walker in Minneapolis, The Whitney, The Museum of Contemporary
Art in Chicago, the San Fransisco Museum of Modern Art and the Wexner
Center for the Arts in Columbus, Ohio had Fluxus exhibitions in '93
& '94. Perhaps you could get some infromation from one of the museum
educators at any of those museums.

Hope this helps!
