Sheila (and anyone interested),

My daughter attends the only Fine Arts Magnet School in Tucson. The
school is using what they call "FLEX schedules".

She is enrolled in 7 classes and on MON, TUES and FRI she "makes the
rounds" to all of them. On WED she has periods 1, 3, 5, & 7 for 90 minutes
with a seven minute passing period. On THURS she has periods 2, 4, & 6,
but school starts at 9:15 (not the usual 7:45).

The time between 7:45 and 9:15 is designated as conference/club period.
Students can meet with teachers during this time for individualized help or
make up missed work.
