Can anyone supply me with address of state Galleries where Children's
art is regularly exhibited please?
The Art Craft Teachers Association of Victoria (ACTA) are trying to
encourage major public galleries in Australia to hold regular
exhibitions of Child Art. The National Gallery of Victoria exhibited
the final High School work (year 12) this December and the Gallery
of New South Wales in Sydney has held very successful exhibitions
of that states year 12 work for the past few years. These are the works of
17-18 year olds. We would like the galleries also to recognize the
work of younger children. From Kindergarten to late High School
inclusive.
My collegues in ACTA would like to be able to write to the directors
and obtain some concrete evidence to use as precedents.
