The first special program on ArtsEdNet Talk begins next Monday,
January 8. Please visit the ArtsEdNet web site
(
http://www.artsednet.getty.edu/) to view the work of installation
artist and photographer Sandy Skoglund and to review selected
articles about her work. This unique online exhibition marks the
start of "Sandy Skoglund: Teaching Contemporary Art," an interactive
program with art education professors Terry Barrett and Sydney Walker
of Ohio State University facilitating discussions on ArtsEdNet Talk
(this e-mail discussion group) of Skoglund's work with all interested
educators. Sandy Skoglund will join the discussion for two weeks in
late February. Every two weeks from January through May, ArtsEdNet
Talk discussions will highlight one or more of Skoglund's works as a
way for art educators to focus on themes about teaching contemporary
art to students.
Here is a schedule of topics planned (please note that dates and
topics may change):
January 8 - 22: Radioactive Cats: Asking Interpretive Questions
January 23 - February 5: Revenge of the Goldfish: Dreams, Surrealism,
and Literature
