Wow Mesliisa, that must have been amazing. A few years ago I got to view an Indian women's group from Oklahoma City do Kolams at an "all ethnic groups in OKC" festival and it was the first I had ever heard of it.

I joined iKolam.com recently, it is a nice site. I want to do something to tie it in with Celtic interlacing, they have some points in common (starting with the grid of dots for one thing)
