When I've done paste paper, I mixed up some of that clear "gel" art paste
that comes in the little boxes; then, I add acrylic paint until it looks
somewhat opaque, but transluscent when thinned out by spreading. There's
plenty of room for experimentation. I did paste papers with middle
schoolers, and they did winter collages from it. They turned out really
nice. More recently we used paste paper to cover journals. It's such a
cool project because there's no end of experimentation and different
