To get the momentum going again, you could have them draw a corner of the
room they spent the most time in during the winter break, in one point
perspective . It can include furniture in the room's colors. Let them tell a little
about their activities during the time they were off.

I had students do a very successful perspective project. It was a one point
perspective- surreal collage. You can even do Magritte in the lesson.
Students started with a grid like perspective drawing of a tile floor, walls and
ceiling done with 2 alternating colors of tiles. Each wall floor etc. were a
different combination of colors, Students then cut out small unrelated pictures
from magazines, in contour, that is just the subject itself. To make the
pictures appear like they came out of the spaces between the tiles , we cut
little slits here and there and inserted a cut out object halfway in and pasted
it down. Things like dog, trees, reptiles, even people came out from all the
surfaces. . It was fun because it has a fantasy-like quality.
