[teacherartexchange] Accepted teaching position in Chennai, India

Dear ArtsEdNet folks,

On Friday I accepted a position as elementary technology resource
facilitator at the American International School in Chennai, India. A
rapidly growing school in this south India city (school population
growth largely due to influx of foreign automotive, IT, cell phone,
and pharmaceutical companies), AISC has made technology integration
as one of its upcoming initiatives - hence the new position. With
this new position there will be a lot of "firsts" for me as well, but
I am excited about the cultural opportunities that await me. Just
think of the artwork that will follow....

I have included a few photos of the school, traditional dancer of the
region, one of Chennai's many elaborately carved Hindu temples, and a
map.

Stay tuned in August for a new chapter in my international teaching
experience....

PS I still will be going to the ISS-NY fair, but will now have time
to see museums and some sights. If you have particular
recommendations on this, shopping, or eating I'd appreciate it. I'll
be staying at the Grand Central Hyatt hotel.
