Some newer PC's will just seek out the signal and set
it up, some older ones you have to go into the
wireless set up wizard and have it done. As Woody
said Mac just find the signal and open it....older Mac
laptops will require a card also as do some older
PC's.
As far as cables some places charge you, some have
them in your room.
