I bought mine off e-bay a couple years back. Of course prices have
been dropping on
everything digital. I choose mine because it was small in size, was
mac compatible
and listed as XGA for resolution. You can read about the difference

Prices are changing, what use to go for $2000 now sells around $800.
Other that
what I've listed - I don't know enough to provide any advice about
projectors.
