This site describes an art form introduced in Japanese primary schools
with amazing results.
If you Google 'dorodango' you will find a umber of interesting sites,
including one with directions. I have not taught this, but some of our
TAB middle school teachers have offered it as an ongoing choice among
other options. They report that students become very invested in the
work and that there is a meditative quality to the process.
