[teacherartexchange] Richardson Supports Arts in Schools

Governor Richardson set out 60 items for the state legislators to
address this session. Among
the issues he wants addressed were:

..... continue to increase teacher and educational employee salaries,
increse Pre-K opportunities,
improve and modernize our schools, maintain our commitment to the
arts so it remains a key part
of every child’s education, For those schools identified as needing
improvement, we won’t give
a bad grade and walk away. Instead, we are going try to help these
schools succeed......
