This is to request assistance in getting the word out to educators about the
FUNDRED DOLLAR BILL project, an interesting opportunity for students to
participate in a national public art project. The project is directed by
artist Mel Chin and will ultimately contribute to developing awareness and
delivering solutions for the environmentally responsible rebuilding of New
Orleans from below the ground up. The initial phase of FUNDRED is a simple
and fun classroom project that will involve 3,000,000 students across the
country. The FUNDRED website provides project details, a lesson plan for
presentation in various classroom settings, and perspective on the
performance aspects involving an armored truck pick-up of the artwork
created by students!

To date most of our outreach has been by word of mouth based on
presentations given at a few educational conferences. National exposure has
been through American's for the Arts. We are excited that in upcoming weeks
Art 21 will be supporting the project as well. We have had terrific
response from those who have received notice of the project thus far, now
the challenge is to present the opportunity to a wider audience.
