Laura, I, too, have been unable to scan things on my new computer that came
with Vista. (I, too, have a 3-in-1, but HP not Epson.) It's helpful to know
that someone else has that problem, though of course I wish we didn't. And
naturally, I haven't the time right now to devote to figuring it out. Sigh.
Other than that, I haven't encountered many problems with it. I do not have
Photoshop. I miss the old Word format, though; the new one annoys me; I am
much slower in getting things done because I have trouble figuring out how
to navigate tasks in the new interface.
I'm already behind in the new year, despite the fact that today was my first
day back--and it was a teacher work day! Students' first day back is
tomorrow.
Shame on me for actually relaxing and spending time with family over the
holidays! ;-)

"I have Vista on my computer at home. I have an all-in-one
printer/scanner/fax (Brother brand)....The
scanner option still won't work, but we were able to get the printer to
work using a Windows XP driver. There is supposed to be a new Vista
driver for it, but I haven't taken the time to mess with it."
