Good point Jen about experiencing the world. I think
the quote was referring to experiencing the world
directly with all of our senses. As you know, some
computer technologies remove us from direct touch,
smell, and immediacy. This is a more remote way to
experience the world.
My recent concern about technology comes from my
university which has taken on at least ten major
technological changes within the last calendar year.
This has overwhelmed the faculty and students. This
is a human problem rather than a technological
problem. Technology seems to have taken over our
world too quickly in my little corner of the world.
Cheers,
Diane
