Ben Shahn, Handball is another my kids' relate to.

I used these Russian children's murals once to do a mural of our city
with my 6th graders.

I just googled city paintings and found a number of artists and
examples I hadn't seen before that could be used.
Some of the impressionist scenes of Paris come to mind too-
