A friend who is an art collector gave me two Otterness sculptures (little
ones) for a wedding gift 22 years ago! I haven't been keeping up, but it I
guess they are really valuable!! His work really is inspiring.
I went to high school with another really inspiring artist named Rodney Alan
Greenblat - His website is www.Whimsyload.com. His work is so much fun. He
got very big in Japan when some of his characters became the subjects of a
video game. His first big thing, though was a piece at the Whitney
Biennial. I think your students will really like him - mine did, all ages.
