[teacherartexchange] In need of guidance

Hi All,

Had an interesting turn of events here at our itty bitty charter school.

One of my co-workers approached me recently for help with a painting that
has been in his family since the 1940's, it was bought at a yard sale in NY,
or possibly in NM.

It appears to be Picasso's Blue Nude. It looks aged and worn, and has a
Picasso signature in the upper left corner of the canvas.

We have looked on-line and can not seem to find any refernce to where the
original is hung, or who is in possession of it, (as in what museaum or
collector). While this is very exciting, it is somewhat hard to believe, I
actually thought at first that he was pulling a wellthought out prank on me.

Any suggestions on where we start in getting it authenticated?
