[teacherartexchange] Back up list for when Getty goes down

Greetings Getty TeacherArtExchange Members,

Fortunately Getty TeacherArtExchange down time was short this last time.

If this happens again, and you want to stay in touch with other art
teachers - have an immediate need - I recommend you join the "back-up"
list for Getty list. ArtsEducators on Yahoo was started years ago when
Getty list went down. Now, of course, all teachers around the world
may join.

The easiest way for you to join would be for you to send me your email
address, first and last name, grade levels you teach, and location
(state is enough) - send OFF LIST (judy.decker at gmail.com). I will
add your email address to the group right away. You may stay on
ArtsEducators as "no mail" - then sign on to receive the mail when
Getty list goes down.

I also want you to know that each time the Getty list goes down, I
send a note to the TeacherArtExchange staff (so all do not need to do
that). I never know what the problem is - but do post to ArtsEducators
when the list is down and when it is back working again.
If you try to send a post to Getty and it doesn't make it through and
have not received posts for a day or two - chances are, the list is
down.

If you try to make a post when the list is up and running and it
doesn't make it through, chances are, you are sending in html and
simply have to change to plain text.
