This particular time is bad news for your classroom. I've had similar
poor timing
for jury calls. But in my community you could get your jury
assignment rescheduled.
I suggest that you call your county jury clerk and inquire about
volunteering for
the summer. They did it for me back in Kansas City. Often you go in
and sit in
the jury pool and don't get selected, but I would not chance it. All
my calls were
for one week and I was excused after the first or second day.

Another suggestion:
Is there a qualified art teacher who would take a long term assignment ?
If so get your district to agree to fill the time this way. If not,
you could get a
different sub each day - real disaster.
