When the Industrial Arts teacher has parent permission then I will too.
There is an implied permission granted when students sign up for classes. As
long as the tools are age appropriate and students have been instructed in
their use then you should be protected. And if you are a member of NEA then
you have that protection if your district fails to back you. I would be
careful about getting permission forms for regular classroom tools - even
pencils can cause injury when not used properly.
