I recently did the face pot lesson that is on IAD. After the
students made the pots based on their identity we wrote
Praise poems
which our poems that describe yourself and i wanted to share
them
with you. They were written by 5th graders.

Poem 1
I may look big and tall on the ourside but inside the size of
a
mouse in this hug world
I am as loud as thunder and as quiet as moss on a tree
I am a skyscraper cutting thrpugh the sky
I am the color of sapphire on a fancy ring
I am as fast and swift as a leopard on the soccer pitch
I have the skill and technique of a monkey in the trees
I come from the land of pizza as good as heaven and pasta
with sauce
as red as lava
Poem 2
I am from the shining land of the free the home of the brave
I am like a medium drink at the soda counter
I am the bright color yellow out and about
I am like a beaver hitting the ball with my tail
I am like the radging rapids rushing into the sunlight
I am the first to walk the earth, I am Adam
