Oddly enough, my website began with pregnancy. :) I was pregnant
with my first son 9 years ago, and had some health issues that
resulted in my being put on bedrest for the last month and a half of
my pregnancy. So, I had my husband put the computer and some art
materials by my bed, Frida Kahlo-style, and got busy creating stuff.
Oddly enough, I taught myself HTML (it's really NOT hard, even for
people like me who cringe at the thought of programming anything) and
didn't use an editor because I wanted to be able to do the page the
way I wanted to, not the way the editors wanted me to. (Frontpage
didn't even exist then. Boy, I feel old!)
It really isn't difficult to make and update a webpage, it's just
sometimes tricky getting started. Websites like Artsonia make it
easier to update on the fly, without having to go in there and change
a bunch of stuff around each time you upload a picture.
