I know in our school system, when we hired someone with a 'provisional' they
were given a time frame in which they had to take the course(s). She was an
excellent teacher, but did not take the course(s)within the time frame, and
consequently was not rehired to start the next year, after the time frame
had expired. I recommend summer courses, or sometimes they have weekend
courses. As someone who has taken a myriad of courses over my lifetime, my
only advice would be, don't worry about the grades, take as much information
as you can get, find a study group of women who are in the same situation
you are (and there are many) and relish the time with your family.
