Hi,
I'm blessed with a State Surplus location close to my home. They even
periodically have sales to get rid of things! I've bought at least four
tall shelving units with doors and another three or four shelving units
that are just shelves. I also bought what is basically a flat file. It
was labeled for maps, but works great for storing large sheets of paper
- it cost $25.
The State Surplus place is open to the public and accepts cash, checks
and credit cards! It pays to check in periodically to see what is
there. Heck, the guys that work there will even load large items for
you!

Wow, Becky, this sounds cool. Is it open to the public, or just to
government entitities?
