I have some liquid watercolors that I have been planning to try the shaving
cream technique with. I know that rubber stampers and other paper artists
use dye reinkers for this techniue, but the re-inkers (which are marketed
for refreshing dye ink pads) come in small drop applicator bottles, and I'm
sure would be WAY more expensive than the liquid watercolors.

I'm responding without all the info I need right in front of me...I will get
back to you to tell you the brand and what I paid for them.

I really love these concentrated colors. I bought them with my own money
them in the fall to do a spray technique with second graders, when I was a
PTA volunteer doing monthly art lessons with my kids' classes. (We used
leaves as a reverse stencil for a background.) Now that I am the hired art
teacher, I plan to use some of my budget to invest in more. I am using what
I have leftover from the fall lesson to do a watercolor resist with my first
graders.

When I do my shaving cream experiments, I am planning on using eye droppers
to drop the color onto the shaving cream. I'll have to see if they can be
diluted ot if they need to be used full-strength for this technique.

I've been wanting to try this technique for several years now. I have no
idea why I haven't done it yet! I am definitely more motivated now that I
know that there is someone else out there who is interested in it, too. All
my supplies are at school now, though, so I will not be able to "play" until
Monday at the earliest.
