Re: [teacherartexchange] Grading K-3?

What a shame, grades in art in K - 3. When I left my district
the elem. art teachers were starting to mark elem. students
as to the degree they were meeting district standards and
benchmarks. What a major pain. They should be spending time
developing ideas to motivate the kids rather than please
the bureaucrats.

This is a great idea for making records simple. Be careful though,
my district required attendance be kept seperate from grades. And
did not want grades visible anywhere another student might see them.
What a pain. We need it simple and we need to spend quality time with
students rather than keeping records.
                        Just my thoughts, Woody
